JASCO: Leading the Next Wave of Offshore Wind Innovation
(JASCO’s employees ready for the deployment)
As offshore wind development continues to grow across the United States, construction activities must meet strict environmental monitoring and regulatory requirements. 2025 marked another strong year for JASCO Applied Sciences in the offshore wind sector, as our teams provided monitoring and environmental compliance services for major offshore wind developments.
JASCO deployed a comprehensive technical team, including remote Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) operators working around the clock, Protected Species Observers (PSOs) across installation and support vessels, and offshore field personnel conducting PAM and Sound Field Verification (SFV). Our expert teams ensured continuous monitoring and reliable data collection throughout the construction campaigns.
JASCO's impact in offshore wind includes:
Supporting every offshore wind project currently built or under construction in the United States
Completing sound field modelling of piling for 6 of the 7 operational U.S. offshore wind projects
Measuring installation noise from 266 offshore wind monopile foundations and 5 offshore substations in the United States
Conducting real-time passive acoustic monitoring for mitigation during active construction campaigns
Advancing a first-of-its-kind Atlantic Cod acoustic mitigation program using autonomous gliders in partnership with Rutgers University

While many of these projects have taken place in the United States, the expertise, technologies, and operational experience developed through this work enable JASCO to support offshore wind developments anywhere in the world. From acoustic monitoring and sound field verification to marine mammal mitigation and environmental compliance, JASCO provides the tools and expertise needed to support responsible offshore wind development globally.
