- Craig joined JASCO in 2010 as an Acoustic Analyst, following more than four years working within the Acoustic Data Analysis Centre Atlantic - ADAC(A). Craig joined the Canadian Navy in 1989, completing Naval Environmental Training and initial Naval Acoustic Trades Training in Esquimalt, B.C. During his career with Maritime Fleet Atlantic, he was employed in a number of positions within the Sonar Operator Trade including, Sonar Control Supervisor and Senior Submarine Controller (UC1). He sailed on a multitude of HMC Ships and Submarines and a shore posting to ADAC(A). During his shore posting, Craig supervised the acoustic analysis operations of data that was submitted from sound range, naval and aircraft resources for submission to the National Acoustic Library (NAL). He was also the Senior Research Analyst where he liaised with several government and industrial agencies in various acoustic processing and operations projects. In this capacity as Research Analyst Craig was able to delve into the intricate applications required for acoustic signal processing and recording. Craig’s submarine experience and passive aural listening knowledge enhances his capability as an acoustic analyst and has been a crucial tool while instructing and mentoring junior analysts.
