Standard Product Warranty
This Product Warranty applies to oceanographic instruments sold by JASCO Research
STANDARD PRODUCT WARRANTY
JASCO Research Ltd (herein referred to as JASCO or the Company) for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase will repair or replace, without charge, devices which our examination proves to be defective in design, material or workmanship. The Company must be notified in writing immediately if any such defect becomes apparent but in any event, the Company must receive such notification within the said period of 12 months. This warranty is void if the unit has been tampered with by unauthorized persons, misused, abused, or improperly installed or has not been used in accordance with the instructions and/or ratings supplied. The foregoing is in lieu of any other warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, and the Company is not responsible for any expense (including shipping, installation and removal), inconvenience or consequential damage caused by items of our manufacture or sale. The company does not assume direct responsibility for items produced by other manufacturers. The original manufacturer’s warrantees will supersede the JASCO limited warranty where applicable. Note: subsea connectors are limited to a 30-day warranty as per the original manufacturer.
Units under warranty must be returned prepaid to our facility in Victoria B.C., Canada for evaluation and repair by our staff. JASCO will not be responsible for any claims for work done externally in correcting any defects, unless the Company authorizes the work in writing.
If you are having problems with operating your product, or the product has ceased
to function while within the warranty period, please contact JASCO Reseach at the
address below to arrange for an RMA number. As designated in the
Standard Product Warranty, units to be repaired must be returned to our
facility prepaid accompanied by an RMA number.
If your product is no longer covered by the warranty, repairs will be charged at a flat rate consisting of repair time, parts costs and shipping charges. Contact us at the address below for more information.
