Graham completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Ocean Sciences (Physical Oceanography) from the University of Victoria in 2006. During a co-op work term, Graham wrote programs to remotely control a scientific research vessel and display live sonar data over the internet. He also documented a marine research experiment conducted around Patricia Bay in Sidney, BC.
