Holly is a Project Manager and the HSE
Manager for JASCO
Research Ltd. She has been an environmental consultant
since 1997 and she specializes in project and logistics management of environmental acoustics projects.
She has been involved in numerous acoustics studies designed to measure in-air and
underwater noise: ambient and from industrial operations. Holly has co-authored acoustics and
marine mammal hearing project reports and has worked as a field team member. Recent
projects she has managed have addressed noise impacts in the Beaufort Sea, Chukchi
Sea, Queen Charlotte Basin and the Strait of Georgia; she has assisted on numerous
international noise studies. Prior to 2002, she worked as a contract biologist with
Fisheries and Oceans Canada on the Oceans Act programs; as a Naturalist with prairie ecosystems; and
as a wildlife rehabilitation specialist. She is familiar
with Canadian environmental impact assessment legislation (federal and territorial), and has worked frequently with environmental
assessment companies to assist in determining the impacts of noise on marine mammals. Holly graduated from Royal Roads University
in 2006 with her Masters Certificate in Project Management. She also holds a Bachelor
of Science from Lakehead University and a Post-baccalaureate Diploma in Environmental
Science from Capilano College.
