- Prior to joining JASCO Research, Ltd.,
Roland was the manager of electrical engineering and software development, and the
lead software developer, for a company specializing in smart handling systems for
oceanographic applications. He has ten years of experience in ocean engineering
and instrumentation development, and as much experience prior to that in computer
systems consulting. His experience includes the design, development and deployment
of a wide variety of instruments and systems. He has also worked several summers
in mineral exploration, and has considerable experience planning and executing field
programs. His interests are in high-performance computing applications and parallel
processing in scientific environments.
