  • Jeff completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics at Acadia University in 2006, where he also received a Certificate of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. After joining JASCO in 2006, he worked on Sakhalin Island, Russia, doing real-time monitoring of industrial noise to protect marine mammals. He traveled to the Chukchi Sea to perform passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) during a seismic survey. This survey involved deploying a hydrophone array at sea to monitor for marine mammals over an eight week period. He also is involved in analyzing data acquired during field work, as well as reporting on these analyses. Jeff has experience with using and troubleshooting electronic equipment, and is also familiar with various software languages such as MatLab, IDL, and Fortran.
