  • Holly-Anne completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Physics at the University of British Columbia in 2005 and her Master of Science degree in Medical Physics at the University of Victoria in 2008. During both her undergraduate and graduate studies, she performed research at the BC Cancer Agency aimed at improving radiation therapy treatment of cancer. Her undergraduate research examined the response of a new radiographic film to megavoltage x-rays, that is often used to perform quality assurance checks of radiation therapy treatment plan. At the graduate level, her research focused on image guided radiation therapy for prostate cancer. Using advanced statistical methods, she compared the use of three-dimensional ultrasound to x-ray images of implanted fiducial markers for daily prostate localization. Since joining JASCO she has put her talents to work on modelling underwater sound propagation.
