- Isabelle has been working in oceanography
since 1997, specializing in acoustic data collection and analysis since 2001. She
has worked with oceanographic and acoustic systems and data in various applications,
such as sea floor classification, physical and biological oceanography, fisheries
acoustics, instrumentation research and development, and sound propagation modeling.
As part of this work, she has been involved in projects at various parts of their
development, including planning and preparation of proposals, field work (both inshore
and offshore), data analysis and visualization, and reporting and publication. Isabelle’s
specialization is in the analysis and visualization of complex data sets, using
a variety of mathematical approaches and computational tools. Since joining JASCO,
she has been involved in a number of studies designed to assess noise input into
the environment from activities such as seismic exploration and marine construction.
